At REED Autism Services, every family has a story. These stories remind us how the right support can change the course of a life.

For Jessalin Jaume, a long-time staff member at REED, that truth became deeply personal when her son, Julian, was diagnosed with autism shortly after his second birthday.

Having spent nearly twenty years working in the autism field, Jessalin has guided countless families through moments of uncertainty. But when it was her own son, the realities of raising a child with profound autism set in. Suddenly, through the eyes of a parent, she had more questions than answers. What would Julian’s future look like? Could she give him every chance he deserved?

Despite the bumps along the way, Jessalin remained certain about one thing: REED was always the light at the end of the tunnel. She has seen firsthand the progress that comes from intensive treatment, education, and the community that exists within REED. When Julian walked into REED Academy just one month after turning three, she knew he was exactly where he needed to be.

“To know that my son would have an opportunity to learn and grow in a place that is second to none was a dream come true for our family,” explained Jessalin. Since that day, he has flourished. “Julian is thriving in his own way. He’s loved. He’s accepted. We know we’re part of a community that wants to set him up for lifelong success.”

Families like theirs are the reason REED exists and why we count on people like you. As this year comes to a close, please consider making a gift to REED. Your generosity opens doors for individuals on the spectrum ensuring their lives are full of purpose, meaning, and contribution at every stage of life.
