A New Partnership in Franklin Lakes

A New Partnership in Franklin Lakes

Creating opportunities for people of all abilities to participate fully in everyday life is central to the mission of REED Autism Services.

That vision is taking shape through a partnership with the Borough of Franklin Lakes to operate the Franklin Lakes Community Center.

Together, we share a commitment to maintaining the Community Center as a welcoming space where residents can gather, stay active, and take part in programs that support health, wellness, and community engagement.

In the months ahead, work will begin to revitalize the gym, open a small café, and create a space for the REED Next Adult Day Program. The Community Center will also serve as a site for work-based learning and employment. Roles connected to the fitness center, café, and daily facility operations will provide teens and adults with autism the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a vibrant community space.

The center will remain home to the Franklin Lakes Recreation Department and will continue to serve as a gathering place for nonprofit meetings, social skills groups, and volunteer opportunities for local teens.

More information about gym memberships and programming will be shared in the coming months. Check back for updates and follow us on social media.
